Overcome Depression

Feeling depressed is more than being sad or in a low mood. Depression affects our daily routine, reduces our motivation to have fun, and reduces our energy level. I apply evidence-based psychological tools such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to address your depression.

For the treatment of depression, I use a number of approaches including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Together we find the symptoms and recognise the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviour. You learn to differentiate between your thoughts and feelings and improve your feelings by questioning your thoughts and beliefs. You also learn to change your behaviour which improves your thoughts and feelings.
  • Behavioural Therapy. We work together to adjust your behaviour in a way that positively affects your feelings.
  • Meditation and Mindfulness where I use meditation and mindfulness to help you distance yourself from your negative thoughts and emotions. I make you realise that although those thoughts and feelings affect you, they are not you and you can let them go.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) where I combine CBT and mindfulness to change your unhelpful thoughts and improve your self-esteem.
